For us at Liora, classification by age acts as a guide, but we are more dependent on the child’s level of development and abilities. The school also has a policy of encouraging parents to allow children develop at the right pace rather than push children even when a weakness or lapse in development is evident.
3. On submission of application form, the following documents must be submitted to the school office:
- Photocopy of child’s birth certificate or international passport where the date of birth is recorded.
- A copy of the child’s academic report reflecting at least 1 year performance prior to the year of admission (where applicable).
- Photocopy of the Child’s immunization record.
4. Based on submissions contained in the child’s application form, the child will be required to undergo a class placement test; for which the required pass mark is 60%.
***Please Note: Class grouping by age can only be set aside in admitting a child into a class if and only if:
- The child proves he/she is ready for a higher class than stipulated for his/her age, by scoring a minimum of 60% in the higher class’ test; after evidence has been produced to show the child has passed that level in a previous school.
- The child fails to score up to 60% in the class placement test recommended for his/ her age.
5. Results of the test will be communicated through one of these mediums:
- Text messages
- Face to face communication
6. Parent may collect the child’s admission letter from the office where child is successful.
7. Child’s fees for the term on admission must be paid IN FULL through the school’s appointed banker, before child’s first day at school.
